#12 My first teaching job came from someone else being "let go." I was scared to death to stand up in front of those little ones. But I loved every minute of it. I got to work around 7:30am and left a lot of times around 8pm. The long days seemed so short because my dream had come true.
On my second day, a 4th grade teacher popped his head in and asked how I was. I must've looked half scared and half excited. He smiled. Then he said, "Miss Dickerson, if you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life. I'm here if you ever need anything." He continued to check on me each day.
His name? Mr. Matt Morin. He, his wife, and their children are some of my closest friends. I can't imagine life without them.
